User Service Agreement

1. INTRODUCTION

This agreement sets out the terms under which pet owners and pet sitters make agreements through the Woofi platform. Woofi is not a party to these agreements.

2. TERMS FOR PET OWNERS

2.1 Making Reservations

  • Pet owners make reservations directly with sitters

  • Owners are responsible for the accuracy of pet information

  • Special needs must be communicated in advance

2.2 Payment Terms

  • Payments are made through the Woofi platform

  • Woofi charges a service fee for each transaction

  • Payments are charged upon confirmation of the reservation

2.3 Cancellation Policy

Cancellation 24+ hours in advance:

  • Full refund

Cancellation within 24 hours:

  • No cancellation possible

  • Full payment will be charged

2.4 Owner's Responsibilities

  • Ensure the pet's health status

  • Provide necessary supplies (food, medication, leashes)

  • Give precise care instructions

  • Be reachable in case of emergency

  • Inform about the pet's behavioral traits

2.5 Insurance and Liability

  • Owners are responsible for damages caused by their pets

  • Pet insurance is recommended

  • Owners are responsible for veterinary costs for the pet

3. TERMS FOR PET SITTERS

3.1 Providing Services

  • Sitters provide their services at their own risk

  • Services: in-home care, walking, feeding, playing

  • Sitters set their own prices and availability

3.2 Payments and Fees

  • Sitters receive payment minus Woofi's fee (10%)

  • Payments are made within 48 hours after the service ends

  • Sitters are responsible for their own taxation

3.3 Sitter's Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time as agreed

  • Follow the owner's instructions

  • Keep the owner updated (pictures, messages)

  • Report emergencies immediately

  • Care for the pet professionally and lovingly

3.4 Cancellation Policy for Sitters

Cancellation 24+ hours in advance:

  • No penalties

Cancellation within 24 hours:

  • Warning to the account and possible account suspension

3.5 Insurance and Liability

  • Sitters are responsible for their own actions

  • Liability insurance is recommended

  • Sitters are responsible for any damages they cause

4. TERMS APPLYING TO BOTH PARTIES

4.1 Communication

  • All communication must take place through the Woofi platform

  • Sharing contact information is allowed after the reservation

  • Professional and polite communication

4.2 Reviews and Feedback

  • Both parties can leave a review

  • Reviews must be truthful

  • Offensive reviews will be removed

4.3 Emergencies

  • Health issues with pets: Immediate contact to owner

  • Seeking veterinary help with the owner's permission

  • Woofi does not participate in emergencies - users resolve situations among themselves

  • In serious cases, users may contact authorities (police, veterinarian)

4.4 Dispute Resolution

Primary means of resolution:

  1. Direct discussion between the parties

  2. Intervention of Woofi's customer service

  3. Mediation

Secondary means:

  • Legal resolution between the parties

  • Woofi does not participate in legal proceedings

4.5 Applicable Law

  • Finnish law

  • Consumer Protection Act applies as appropriate

  • Animal Welfare Act

5. SAFETY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

5.1 Safety Measures

  • Users must ensure the safety of meeting places

  • The first meeting is recommended to take place in a public area

  • Trust is built gradually

5.2 Children and Pets

  • Children must be supervised by an adult when with animals

  • Sitters are not responsible for children

  • The safety of family members is the owner's responsibility

5.3 Property Responsibility

  • Sitters are responsible for the owner's property

  • Damages must be reported immediately

  • Deal directly with insurance companies

6. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

6.1 Sick Pets

  • Sick pets are not suitable for care

  • Medication only according to the owner's instructions

  • Veterinarian's contact information must be available

6.2 Aggressive Pets

  • The owner must report behavioral issues

  • The sitter may refuse service for safety reasons

  • Special training may be required

6.3 Long-term Care Stays

  • Care stays longer than 7 days require a separate agreement

  • The temporary care responsibility transfers to the sitter

  • Detailed care instructions are mandatory

7. DATA PROTECTION BETWEEN USERS

7.1 Processing Personal Data

  • Users can share contact information with each other

  • Data use is only for the agreed purpose

  • Data must be deleted when the relationship ends

7.2 Sharing Images and Videos

  • Photography of pets is allowed with the owner's permission

  • Sharing images with outsiders is prohibited

  • Social media sharing is only permitted with consent

8. TERMINATION OF THE AGREEMENT

8.1 Ending an Individual Reservation

  • The reservation ends according to the agreed time

  • A closing report is recommended

  • Payment will be automatically released

8.2 Termination of Long-term Relationships

  • Either party may end the collaboration

  • Ongoing reservations must be fulfilled

  • Polite notification is recommended

9. OTHER PROVISIONS

9.1 Validity of the Agreement

  • This agreement comes into effect upon confirmation of the reservation

  • Woofi's platform terms of use also apply

  • Disputes are resolved according to Woofi's terms

9.2 Changes

  • Woofi may update these terms with 30 days' notice

  • Users agree to the new terms by continuing to use the service
